Mary recently completed the 12-Week Program and here's what she had to say:
I do not think it an exaggeration to say that this holistic program has been a life altering experience for me. During my 12 weeks, I lost over 16 pounds, over 14 inches, and reduced my body fat by over 3.5 percentage points. I learned a new, healthy way of eating that I would not otherwise have tried. I actually like it, like the way it makes me feel and believe I can stick with it because it is the “new normal” for me.
I have been a yo-yo dieter. I have never been more than 30 pounds overweight, though on a petite frame. I have sometimes reached my optimal weight, but as I reached my 50’s, it became harder to lose the weight, became impossible to reach my optimal weight, and impossible to keep it off. In addition, I had developed the bad habit of eating lots of unhealthy snacks in the evening in order to reduce stress or to stay awake. I’ve been on Weight Watchers and tried 3-day cleansing diets. They never worked for the long-term because I always returned to my bad snack and stress habits. Also, while I considered my food intake healthy, except for the evening “meltdowns,” I later learned that it could be a lot better.
Judi makes it easy to follow the program by giving each client an easy to carry food log. It contains the types of foods you are allowed to eat at each meal and the quantities. It also contains your log in which you write down what you eat at each meal, your water intake, exercise and sleep. This seems time consuming at first, but I got into the habit of it. You also have to be intentional about what you eat, and have to plan, but I learned that you can easily do it once you get into a routine. Based on Judi’s advice, I discovered I can make healthy choices anywhere; even at McDonald’s and at rest stops on I-95!
The food plan had a number of pleasant surprises for me. First, it is a lot of food so I never felt hungry. Second, I discovered that the kind of food and timing of the meals really helped control my appetite. And finally, the bottom line is that my digestive system works far better now that I’ve cleaned out my body, and my taste buds have become more refined and sensitive, needing less sugar, salt and fat.
Finally, I did not think I would ever get back to my optimal weight and look. It seemed increasingly beyond reach before, but here I am! This program truly works and is worth every penny.
