DETOX SMOOTHIE

Ingredients
  • 1-2 handfuls of spinach or kale
  • ¼ cup chopped celery
  • ¼ cup chopped carrots
  • ¼ cup chopped cucumber
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 scoop Raw, Organic, Vegan protein powder, e.g. Sun Warrior or Vega, dissolved in
  • 1 cup water, more if needed
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks

Directions

1 Put greens into blender first, then add other vegetables, seasonings and fruit.

2 Blend until smooth.

3 Have this smoothie every morning for breakfast for 7 days. Do not add additional fruit. Have no more than 3 fruit servings in a day.

4 The phytonutrients and antioxidants from the vegetables and fruits will stimulate the liver to ramp up its detoxification efforts. As a result, it is normal to feel more tired and sluggish and even have headaches until your body adjusts.  It is important to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and help flush toxins.
